Pop-tarts Are Vegan

Blueberry Pop-Tarts

Apple Cinnamon, Blueberry, Brown Sugar Cinnamon, and Strawberry Pop-tarts are vegan!

But the ones with frosting are not vegan.

i didn't know you could *get* brown sugar cinnamon pop tarts without frosting!! i'm on my way to the grocery store right now. :)

i can't remember for sure, but the reason the frosted ones aren't vegan is that there is gelatin in the frosting, right? so bleah, they're not even vegetarian. i think i've got that correct... anyway, thanks for the news!

Poptarts: Vegetarian? Yes. Healthy? No. Tasty? Yes.

Yup, frosted Pop-Tarts unfortunately contain gelatin. (Before I became a vegetarian, the frosting was my favorite part.)

I have not found any variety of Poptart that does not contain Gelatin. Unfortunately my mother introduced them to my vegetarian son and I am searching for an alternative.Any ideas?

Just introduce the non- frosted ones to your son... you can also always frost them yourself.

i was told that poptarts are made with lard...that's why the bread stays so soft!..if this is true....it's true what people say...that noone can ever be a complete vegan!!
