Happy Thanksgiving

pilgrimwoman.jpg
Here is a dish believed to have been served at the First Thanksgiving.

Stewed Pompion (Pumpkin)
4 to 6 servings

4 cups cooked pumpkin or squash, roughly mashed
3 tablespoons [butter]<--(Substitute vegan margarine)
2 to 3 teaspoons cider vinegar
1 or 2 teaspoons ground ginger
? teaspoon salt

In a saucepan over medium heat, stir and heat all the ingredients together. Adjust seasonings to taste, serve hot.

Whatever you eat, may you have a happy holiday!

Best wishes,
Denise

Hi Denise! Hope you had a great holiday and weekend. I thought I'd pass along my latest discovery to you...

As I'm sure you can tell, I have a bit of a sweet tooth. One of my favorite flavors is coconut, and I picked up a box of Sharon's Coconut Sorbet Bars recently, just to give them a try. These things are heaven on a stick. The sorbet also comes in pints. Absolutely delicious. I'm looking forward to trying more flavors.

Here's the website, to see if any stores near you carry Sharon's products. Take care!

I have the exact same problem! Whenever I find out that some novelty food is vegan (whether it is something at the grocery store or something at a fast food place), I automatically want it eat it (regardless of what it is).
