Google is Vegan?

It is now. I hope you all don’t mind, but I have placed some Google Ads on the site. Like I said before, I am down in Florida and shopping like mad at Whole Foods Market.
I need the money.
Also, I took a look at the targeted ads they were sending my way. Vegan Chocolate, veganessentials.com, and other interesting vegan links. There was one I saw that had something to do with losing 20 pounds in 3 weeks, and one for cream cheese that I thought was totally inappropriate for a vegan site, but its a keyword oriented computer and there’s bound to be some snafus.
Let me know if you have a problem with it, okay?

  1. Ya know, one of the best things about crass commercialism is that it can support things that are neither. Let’s never let vegan be about the whole world being perfect, or dispair is all it will lead to. I’ve had my beef (uhh, make that tofu) with capitalism and technology, but I’d be stupid if I didn’t recognize that being mindful of food is aided by being, on a relative scale, wealthy… so the chicken salad ad I can see right now makes me laugh more than anything. I can want the world to be perfect, but if it won’t, I’ll still be happy in spite of it.
    Peace.

  2. It’s so funny to read “Google is Vegan?” because my husband works there. They treat their employees really well, including feeding them free breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks, in several cafes across campus. And I must say that Google has some of the best vegan food in the entire Bay Area.
Oh, and I think that the Google ads are totally fine to use. Doesn’t bother me a bit!
